| Bain & Bernard are a comedy duo hailing from Toronto. Having a keen interest in vaudeville comedy they exercise a mandate to create new vaudeville styled material and resurrect classic scripts. Since forming in 2005 they have been involved in many different projects around Ontario. They are founding members of “The Beggars Bag Theatre Reparatory Company”; have been regular hosts for “POP with Brains”, a monthly indie rock night charity fundraiser for CAMH; were invited by social arts organization Project Humanity to perform “Lawyers at Large” and “Green’s the Thing!” two pieces tailored at addressing immediate community concerns; they have been regulars at The Junction Arts Festival annually performing original street theatre to great acclaim featuring among other things cure all elixir, time travel and a tap-dancing unicorn; they also have their names in The Guinness Book of World Records as performers for the world’s longest vaudeville and burlesque show. Bain & Bernard Comedy have played such varied venues as The Rivoli, Bad Dog Theatre, Sadleir House in Peterborough, Bathurst St. Theatre, The Gladstone Hotel, Bloor Cinema, the Bread and Circus and have been commissioned twice by the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival in Prescott.
